Biography

María Alejandra Olortegui Ibáñez (N. 3 July 1989, Peru)

Studied Plastic Arts at Escuela de artes plasticas Corriente Alterna (2008-2013) Later on she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts at the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos (2015) and holds a diploma in Cultural Management (Mali School / Museum) and another in Photography ( Escuela de artes plasticas Corriente Alterna)

Currently resides in Lima- Peru.

The pseudonym “Maib” comes from the union of the first acronyms of the name -Maria Alejandra- and the first two letters of the mother’s surname IBañez.
